Fear is the mind killer. Sounds intense, right? But it's true, letting our fears roam unchecked can freeze us in our tracks, stop us from making key life choices, and can even affect our health.

I was listening to a powerful podcast with two of my favourite people @mark_bouris and @trinnywoodall about fear. Trinny talks about the fact that “ if we are living in the past or living in the future, we are not going to make the present happen.”

So what's the antidote? ⁠

Identifying our fears isn't just about introspection, it's a vital move towards self-growth and mental health. ⚡⁠

But how do we shift our perspective on fear? The above are some tips to reframe those fears.

In the landscape of human connection, empathy involves delving into our own vulnerable spaces. This becomes deeply relevant in the face of life's most challenging moments, where words often seem inadequate.

In my journey, both personal and professional, I've seen how some struggle to find words in the face of overwhelming grief or trauma. I used to perceive this as a lack of empathy. Over time, I've come to understand that this isn't a deficiency of compassion, but a confrontation with profound emotional depths that can be daunting.

In these moments, it's vital to remember that sometimes, the best form of empathy is not about finding the right words or trying to 'fix' the situation. It's about being present, fully and authentically.

The above slides are what a truly empathetic presence can look like. Empathy, especially in the most difficult of times, is less about doing and more about being. It's a testament to our ability to connect on the most human of levels, simply by being present and open to the experience of another.

This journey to empathy is closely tied to how deeply we're willing to explore our own feelings. If we avoid confronting our emotions, fully connecting with someone else's experiences becomes a much harder task.

Lean into the uncomfortable. This is how we grow. While our journeys are ours alone, we cannot do it alone ❤️

Living in India was one of the most incredible years of my life (and also one of the most challenging).

It is a land rich in contrasts and people who are fiercely passionate about their traditions.

Diwali is one of these traditions that literally ‘lights me up’ at my core.

It is all about the people. The connections..

Whilst Diwali's story may have its origins in India, its lesson is global.

It's simple: light over darkness, unity over solitude, strength in numbers.

One candle has the power to cut through darkness — a small beacon in the vast night. But when many join? It's a testament to what we can do together. It's this collective glow, this combined effort, that is my inspiration for my new initiative - #TheLotusCollective

The people, the culture, the landscapes, the cuisine. I recently introduced my friend @bessiekay to @wakuwaku.au, a Japanese restaurant in Melbourne - home of the delicious #Hokkaido soup curry!

This is just a taster of what’s in-store for next May/June on the journey of discovery we will take to Japan. As part of this journey, I will guide a group of women to my “Happy Place” in Hokkaido, Japan.

This will be Japan through my eyes, a journey designed to engage all your senses and inspire you to live your best life!
